What is an AI flashcard maker?
An AI flashcard maker turns source text into questions and answers for active recall. Each draft in this tool includes a quotation you can compare with your original notes before accepting it.
Can I make flashcards from a PDF?
Yes. Upload a text PDF up to 25 MB and 100 pages, then select up to 10 pages and 20,000 characters per generation. For scanned PDFs, paste a transcription in the Notes tab.
Can I turn my notes into flashcards?
Yes. Paste up to 20,000 characters of notes, choose your deck name and card count, then generate and review the draft cards.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
The example deck, manual card editor, study mode, and exports are free and require no account. AI generation is available when the service is connected and is subject to usage limits shown by the tool. No payment details are required.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Creating, reviewing and studying flashcards works in your browser. Download an Anki package only if you want to study in Anki.
Can I export to Anki?
Yes. Download accepted cards as an .apkg file, then import it into Anki. You can also export CSV or open a printable double-sided layout and save it as a PDF.
What happens to my PDF and notes?
PDF files are read in your browser. Only selected text is sent to the AI service when you request generation. We do not save your documents or decks in a content database. Keep an export before closing this tab. Read our privacy notice for details about processing.
